Heinrich Goussen Library: Heinrich Goussen (1863-1927) endowed his private collection of Eastern Christian scholastic literature to Universitaet Bonn, where it is now established as Bibliothek Goussen. Nearly four thousand of these works survive to provide today’s scholars with an array of resources primarily for the Arabic, Aramaic, Armenian, Coptic, Georgian, Hebrew, and Syriac languages; liturgical and biblical texts for worship; as well as studies of Eastern Christian historical development. It is through the active preservation and partnership of Universitaet Bonn and in honor of Heinrich Goussen that Gorgias Press presents selected works in its Heinrich Goussen Library series.
