Sebastian Euringer publishes here the Ethiopic text of an Anaphora to the Virgin Mary. In his introduction to the text, Euringer notes that the Ethiopic liturgy dedicated to Mary has been edited, published, and translated previously, but notes that these publications were not widely available and thus, relatively little was known about this Ethiopic tradition. Thus, Euringer attempts to make this text more widely available, both in the original Ethiopic text and in a German translation. For the Ethiopic text, Euringer uses one manuscript as a base text, but provides a critical apparatus with variant readings from various other manuscripts. In his introduction, Euringer lists the previous works that have been published on this Ethiopic liturgical tradition and discusses the manuscripts used in the present work. Euringer also includes notes containing explanations for translational and editorial decisions. Table of Contents
