This collection of essays in honor of John C. Alexander, professor of Ottoman and Turkish history at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Written by former students and colleagues, the papers concentrate of topics of interest to Professor Alexander, namely Ottoman Christian communities, the Ottoman Balkans and the Greek lands.
