The tombs of Saqqara, as excavated in 1904 by the future author of The Witch-Cult in Western Europe, are described. Details of the tombs (among them several that belonged to Pharaohs) include offerings, hieroglyphs, and miscellaneous objects. The book also reports on the meaning of the inscriptions by Sethe. Descriptions of Anubis and other divinities are given their due while an argument claiming that the death of Tutankamen was an example of royal sacrifice after a period of seven years is made.
