Three papyrus leaves discovered by Flinders Petrie in Upper Egypt contain the fragments of a Easter service in Greek, here edited, annotated, and where possible reconstructed: a prayer for faith, derived from Clement; a thanksgiving; Eucharist (invocation, words of institution, and commemoration) which is complete enough to be reconstructed; a prayer for the fruits of the eucharist; and a closing statement of the creed, not yet divided into articles, and a discussion of the differences between that and the Apostle's Creed.
