When the Syrian government granted cultural rights to its Syriac speaking citizens, a plethora of opportunities were presented to the population. That is, the study of Syriac, and its people could now be done publicly, adding to the adding to the culture of the country as a whole. It is through the presentation of the treasures of the Syriac tradition that the compilers believe they will be able to add to society and expand its horizons. By their admission, this little book filled with documents, details, and glimpses of this phenomenon, is but a humble token of a newly found ability; it is to be expanded upon for future enlightenment.
