Bibliotheca Nisibinensis:

Bibliotheca Nisibinensis is an academic publication of Fundatio Nisibinensis – a foundation for promoting Aramaic Studies. It engages with Aramaic literature and tradition in general, as well as with the socio-cultural, political, religious and linguistic aspects of the present situation of the communities, which have preserved their Aramaic inheritance. The heirs of this rich heritage are mainly Christians of the Syriac tradition, which one finds under such various ethnical and confessional names as Aramaen, Assyrian, Jacobite, Maronite, Nestorian, East and West Syrian.

Bibliotheca Nisibinensis is a new series that supports Aramaic studies. In particular it publishes the works of scholars who consider themselves as preservers of the Aramaic heritage and the Syriac tradition, but it also welcomes works by other scholars from related fields. The publications of Bibliotheca Nisibinensis, being in the form of articles, treatises, dissertations, translations or other works, are addressed to both those who consider themselves as belonging to the Aramaic heritage and to the Syriac culture, as well as to the wider public world. Bibliotheca Nisibinensis hopes to contribute to friendship and understanding between Syriac people and the wider community, and to reflect on the current situation of the Syriac communities in a more comprehensive way than has occurred to date.

Detailed up-to-date information about Fundatio Nisibinensis can be found on the Fundatio homepage.
