 Gorgias Historical Dictionaries (ISSN 1935-3189): This exciting new series features important reprints of historical dictionaries to increase their availability among the academic community. Historical dictionaries contain material that is often unavailable in more modern editions. Early insights into languages, although foundational, are often forgotten with the appearance of more advanced studies. These early insights, however, remain important for understanding how present views originated, and also assist in assessing the more recent developments in the study of the language. Locating and accessing these early dictionaries may consume considerable time for busy scholars.
