The Book of Crowns on the Kings of Himyar, or Kitab al-Tigan as it is known in its original Arabic title, is a pre-Islamic collection rich with lore and myth by Wahb ibn al-Munabbih. The tales of Wahb ibn al-Munabbih are preserved in the work of Abu Muhammad 'Abd al-Malik bin Hisham (Ibn Hisham, d. 834), generally credited as the writer of The Book of Crowns. This work is sometimes referred to as one of the earliest attempts at Arabic history and remains a fascinating source of early traditions even today. | |
