Anatolia’s Loom is a collection of essays by Dr. Magnarella on the social anthropology of Anatolia, Turkey and, in a wider sense, the eastern Mediterranean. The articles are presented in five sub-sections: The first section comprises the articles on the anthropological theory and making scientific research in this part of the world. The second section of the book focuses on family and kinship relations while the third on customs, peoples and change. Influence of politics on social structure is discussed by the articles in the fourth section of the book. Finally the fifth section discusses law and society. Based on his many years of field research, Dr. Magnarella provides insights into many aspects of the life and society of peoples of Anatolia in the recent past.
