The book titled Shbitho “Captivity” of the Monks is a daily spiritual guide for the monk. It consists of prayers and meditations and is usually coupled with the Psalms of David. Çiçek gives the text of the Shbitho based on three manuscripts that were used by Yuhanna Dolabani, Cyril Jacob, and Çiçek himself during their "captivity" as monks.
