This book gives the Syriac text of the life of Bar Hebraeus, the thirteenth-century polymath, composed in poetry by Dioscoros bishop of Gzorto (d. 1286). The text, prepared by Sebastian Brock, is based on a unique manuscript from the Bodleian Library, Oxford, dated 1672. The book also contains the life and works of Bar Hebraeus by Afram Barsoum I (translated into Syriac by F. Dolabani).
