Several authors have attempted to compile histories of Syriac literature, but no other has matched the scale or depth of the present volume compiled by Mor Ignatius Aphram I Barsoum, former Patriarch of Antioch. It covers both ancient and modern authors, extending all the way to the early twentieth century. This volume presents the Syriac text in vocalized Serto script with section and chapter headings in Estrangelo and includes a table of contents.
