The attempted genocide of Armeneans, Kurds and Syrian Christians that took place in the early part of the twentieth century is one of the most undocumented and unfamiliar genocides of the twentieth century among Western societies. However, the tragic memories of these events live on within the surviving communities through the testimonies of those who experienced the atrocities first hand. The present work is the account of the atrocities that happened among the Christians at Tur Abdin by A. Naman Karabash. Karabash was just a small boy at the time of the events, but he recounts his own experiences, and those of others, with stirring detail. This volume is the German translation of Karabash's work carried out by George Toro and Amill Gorgis, and it includes a foreword by Julius Yeshu Çiçek. Table of Contents
