Nemrod Simono was a well known and respected scholar of the Assyrian linguistic tradition with interests extending from the Ancient Near East to the modern vernaculars. Throughout his career he devoted much time and effort to the study of various dialects and the publication of grammars and dictionaries to ensure that the modern dialects of the Assyrian tradition would continue. As a follow up to his beginner's grammar in Modern Assyrian, Simono published the present volume: an intermediate grammar for Modern Assyrian. The volume includes more advanced grammatical concepts than the beginner's grammar, and includes exercises for practice. The volume may be used as a classroom text or for self guided study.
