In the nineteenth century, most of the liturgical materials for the Roman Catholic Church were in Latin. Thus, it was difficult for those in communion with the Catholic Church in the Syriac tradition to be instructed in the ways of the priesthood. The present volume was intended to overcome this problem as it contains the Syriac translation of P. Louis Togni's instructions for the priesthood. The instructions cover a wide range of topics, and focus on the duties and responsibilities of the everyday life of a minister. The translation was prepared by Thomas Audo, and the text is presented in an Eastern Syriac script.
