Catalogue des manuscrits persans is a catalog of over 2,000 Persian manuscripts from the Bibliotheque Nationale. The manuscripts are classified by subject: Christian scriptures; Islam (Qur'ans, Sunni/Shi'a works, Sufism and Islamic mysticism, Ismailism, Hurufism); Babism and Baha'ism; Hinduism; biographies, travels and memoirs, geographies, official correspondence; encyclopedias, logic, ethics, politics, mathematics, astronomy, mechanics, natural history, gymnastics, medicine, astrology, magic, music, agronomy, numismatics, and cooking; grammars, dictionaries, and phrasebooks (including English-Persian); diplomatic correspondence, cipher manuals, works in dialect (including Kurdish), and manuals of calligraphy; Persian poetry, anthologies, folksongs, prose, tales; other lists of books, including the collections acquired by the Bibliotheque; and works acquired during the publication of the catalog. The concordance is listed with the overall manuscript numbering of the Bibliotheque, and two indices are included.
