The Slavic text of Josephus contains a passage calling Jesus "more than human". This classic analysis of the passage both assembles the evidence on the subject, and makes the case that it is genuine: the bitterness between Jews and Christians would not have prevented such a text until some years after the Sack of Jerusalem, and the text may reflect Josephus' first version of the Jewish War "in his own language", which would have been written immediately after the Sack,
