Among the Greek Papyri of the British Museum published by F.G. Kenyon and H.I. Bell, Anton Baumstark found the text of a Theotokion from the sixth-century. In the present article, Baumstark compares the wording of this Theotokion to other texts, including comparable texts from Eastern and Oriental traditions (other Greek, Coptic, Arabic and Syriac sources) and the versions of the Ambrosian Rite. Thus, Baumstark discusses the place of the text of this Theotokion within the transmission and translation history of similar texts.
