Professor Israel Charny is the Executive Director of the Institute on the Holocaust and Genocide in Jerusalem, Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Genocide, and author of two recent books, Fascism and Democracy in the Human Mind, and Fighting Suicide Bombing. He is a co-founder and past president of the International Association of Genocide Scholars.
