Markus Zehnder

Markus Zehnder is Professor of Biblical Studies at Ansgar College and Theological Seminary (Kristiansand, Norway), Professor and Head of the Department of Old Testament at the Evangelical-Theological Faculty Leuven (Belgium), and Titularprofessor of Old Testament at the University of Basel (Switzerland). He earned his doctorate in Old Testament Studies at the University of Basel, did post-doctoral research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University. He is the co-director of the Norwegian Summer Academy for Biblical Studies and the author of the award-winning Dealing with Foreigners in Israel and Assyria (published in German, Umgang mit Fremden in Israel und Assyrien).
