In 1905 Alphonse Mingana published a two-volume edition of Narsai’s works (available from Gorgias Press) and in his preface he included a look at a fragment from Barhadbeshabba dealing with Narsai and the School of Nisibis. This work, reprinted from Journal Asiatique (10th series, vol. 6, 1905), contains Chabot’s notice of Mingana’s work, especially with respect to the Barhadbeshabba fragment. The bulk of this small volume is Chabot’s richly annotated French translation of the text, together with a summary in which he questions how much historical weight should be granted to the text Mingana published.
